Go for the gold
There are ways to recapture the glow of summer skin

IS it just me, or does anyone else feel as if the sun-kissed glow you worked so hard on getting this summer has faded faster than last year’s gladiator sandal trend?
Lately I've found myself yearning for the bronze, glowing skin I had in the summer (of course, it wasn't as golden as it has been in the past, which I blame on Mother Nature and her mean weather tricks this year).
One way to get the glow you yearn for is to dust lightly with a bronzer on your chin, cheek and nose areas. This will produce a bit of a golden shimmer in the areas where the sun naturally hits your face.
Be warned, though. I have tried to compensate with bronzers, but some days I feel like I'm caking on enough of the stuff to look like the Golden Boy's sister -- if you shone a light on my face, you'd get a reflection that could blind you -- so dust in moderation.
I suppose I could hit a few sessions in the glass coffin (ie: tanning bed), but it seems a bit early in the fall/winter season to begin fake baking. Besides, it's pretty well documented that fake tanning isn't exactly good for your skin -- it sucks it dry, can cause damage and it's pricey (especially if you prefer those standing beds with the heavy-duty UV).
Another way to rejuvenate the skin is with a chemical peel. These facial masks gently remove the dead, dull skin from your face, leaving it feeling and looking a heck of a lot younger; they are a more cost-effective skin treatment than what you might get from a surgical clinic.
And then there is the Luxivia Brilliant-C skin care line, by Merle Norman Cosmetics. I've been using the stuff for a few weeks now and already notice my skin seems to be brighter and fresher, and I don't have to use as much bronzer.
The Luxivia Brilliant-C line consists of a cleanser, toner, moisturizer, neck and chest cream and an anti-aging serum. All products in the line contain an exclusive formula that blends vitamin C with other brightening agents that are supposed to diminish the appearance of spots and discoloration.
I'm particularly fond of the anti-aging serum. This stuff is said to help improve skin clarity and brings back a youthful glow by incorporating "optical diffusers," which luminize skin, leaving a silky, smooth, healthy look. It's also super soft and smells fantastic, like oranges.
So before you hit the glass coffin, invest in cosmetic surgery or, even worse, compensate with a foundation 10 shades too dark, try some of those tips from the pros.
