The boss launches Boss

Harry Rosen in town for grand opening

On Wednesday, Rosen and his eldest son Larry Rosen attended the grand opening of the Boss Hugo Boss store at Polo Park Shopping Centre. Clientele were treated to after-hours cocktails in the store and a first class fashion show produced by Swish Productions.

On Thursday, Harry Rosen was the keynote speaker at the 41st annual Commerce Business Banquet at the Fairmont Hotel, a sold-out event.

What a girl wants!

WHAT A Girl Wants!, a designer, international and celebrity handbag auction, celebrating women and health in support of the Canadian Liver Foundation, was held Saturday, Nov. 17, at The Fairmont Winnipeg.

Guests were invited to celebrate what a girl wants by bidding on stylish hand and evening bags while increasing awareness for liver health through proper eating and exercise.

Diva NIght 2007

DIVA Night 2007 was held at the Assiniboine Park Conservatory Wednesday, Nov. 21, by The Friends of the Assiniboine Park Conservatory in support of the Festival of Trees and Lights.

With tree raffle proceeds going to Cancer Care and Special Olympics, this second annual event drew in close to 250 guests, thanks to sponsors Winners and HomeSense and all the vendors who helped to make this year another success.

Kettle kick-off

THE Salvation Army launched its annual Kettle Campaign Wednesday, Nov. 21, with the Hope in the City Breakfast at the Winnipeg Convention Centre.

Premier Gary Doer kicked off the campaign with his donation and urged others to do the same.

David Northcott from Winnipeg Harvest gave the keynote address, expressing to the audience how important hope was for any charity at this time of year.

Peak at a charity gala

PEAK of the Market held its 14th annual gala dinner Friday, Nov. 23 at the Delta Winnipeg in support of Variety and Winnipeg Harvest. This years' event drew Peak of the Market's second largest crowd while celebrating their 65th Anniversary.

With proceeds going to Winnipeg Harvest and Variety The Children's Charity, guests included David Northcott executive co-ordinator of Winnipeg Harvest Inc., and Wayne Rogers, Variety The Children's Charity Manitoba executive director.
