Manitoba’s Progressive Conservatives need your advice as they gear up for the next provincial election in about two years.
Tory Leader Brain Pallister said since first launching the survey ‘Building a Prosperity Blueprint: Real Targets — Measurable Results’ one month ago, the party has seen about 150 responses on a number of topics, but they want more Manitobans to participate.
"We anxious to get more input," Pallister said today. "We need Manitobans to help us. There’s a tremendous amount of expertise around the province. We have a lot of really, really well-informed people on issues. I guess what we’re doing is we’re trying to get voluntary researchers help us come up forward ideas and suggestions on how we can build a stronger, better Manitoba."
The PC’s policy blueprint consists of six categories, ranging from "bright futures for our children" to "responsible resource development" and can be accessed at www.policyblueprint.ca. Respondents can also write to Pallister or any Tory MLA or email Pallister’s office at firstname.lastname@example.org
The Tories also plan to hold a series of public policy consultation meetings across Manitoba in September.
The next Manitoba general election is tentatively scheduled for April 19, 2016, depending on the timing of the next federal election.
