2 arrested in rural home invasion

Police have arrested two men after a home invasion involving guns last Sunday in New Bothwell, Man.

Police arrested the two suspects Tuesday at a home in Blumenort, Man., with officers from Steinbach RCMP and the D Division Emergency Response Team.

Investigators said objects from the home invasion were located inside the Blumenort home.

Colin Bernardin-Hebert, 20, is charged with five counts of possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, robbery with a firearm, pointing a firearm, and wearing a disguise, as well as other charges. He will be in court in Winnipeg Thursday.

A 22-year-old man, whom the RCMP did not name, is also charged with possessing property obtained by crime. He was released from custody on a promise to appear.

RCMP continue to investigate.
