2013 EcoCalendar now available

The Manitoba government’s 2013 EcoCalendar, featuring tips on sustainable living and ways to save money, is now available for free across the province.

The calendar, created by Green Manitoba, a special operating agency of the Manitoba government, aims to teach Manitobans what they can do to make help make a "cleaner, greener and healthier Manitoba."

"By taking the time to do little things that make a difference, we can make big changes in how our actions affect the environment," said Conservation Minister Gord Mackintosh in a release.

The calendar also supports TomorrowNow, Manitoba’s Green Plan, an eight-year strategic plan introduced in June that encourages Manitobans to work together to protect the environment.

The calendar is available at a number of local businnesees including Safeway stores and Salisbury House restaurants as well as Manitoba Hydro offices and most municipal and provincial government buildings.
