St. Boniface professors could strike Monday

Professors at the Université de Saint-Boniface are scheduled to go on strike Monday.

The university said today that bargaining is continuing, and USB has asked the province's minister of labour to appoint a mediator.

University and on-line courses would be cancelled if there is a strike, USB said, but other bargaining units would continue to work. The university will have detailed information available for students by Friday at http://ustboniface.ca/page.aspx?pid=979.

The last faculty contract expired Aug. 1, 2012.
