$2.5M fire in Virden was arson: investigators

The fire that caused $2.5 million in damages in Virden earlier this week was caused by arson, an investigation has found.

The blaze, which completely destroyed a True Value Hardware store and caused extensive damage to a seniors’ residence and another building, occurred early Sunday morning.

There were no injuries.
