Grow-op bust sees more than $500K worth of marijuana, equipment seized

A man is facing a numerous charges following a grow operation bust in the Maples area Wednesday.

The grow-op was located at a residence on Trieste Way. Members of the marijuana grow operation unit, along with additional support from uniformed officers, executed a controlled drug and substance act warrant and seized the following items:

  • 435 marijuana plants (estimated street value $487,200)
  • 8.5 pounds of dry marijuana (estimated street value $21,500)
  • grow operation equipment (valued at $6,000)
  • over $3,000 of Canadian currency

A 39-year-old man was arrested in the area Wednesday and is facing drug-related charges.

He was released on a promise to appear.
