Get Fringy with it
Today is your last chance to check out the Winnipeg Fringe Festival before the crews pack up their sets, costumes, lights and mini doughnuts until next year. With extra Best of Fest performances being added today for the two shows with the highest attendance from each venue, you'll be able to get one last Fringe fix. Got Olympic fever? Head down to University Stadium and see junior Donovan Baileys in training at the Canadian Junior Track and Field Championships. WAG grass is greener
Experience some living art, literally, at the WAG's Green ... Grass ... Dot exhibit. The exhibit showcases Winnipeg artist Ewa Tarsia's growing interaction with the Winnipeg Art Gallery building with her living plant treatments of its indoor and outdoor spaces. The exhibit is open today from noon until 5 p.m. Admission ranges from $6 to $18. Tickets can be purchased by phone at 786-6641 or at wag.ca .
Become a dancing queen
The feel-good musical Mamma Mia! has returned to Winnipeg with one last performance today at 1 p.m. at the Centennial Concert Hall. Based on the hit songs of ABBA, Mamma Mia! is the story of one girl getting married on a Greek island and the three possible dads who have made the trip to walk her down the aisle -- plus a lot of bell bottoms. Get jazzed in the park
Grab a blanket and head down to Assiniboine Park for Jazz in the Leo Mol Sculpture Garden. This Sunday, you can enjoy the smooth, cool melodies of Rosemarie Todaschuk in the presence of some beautiful art and flowers. The performance will go from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
