Sunny and warm start to day in Winnipeg

  • Print

In typical Winnipeg fashion, our weather forecast is running the gamut this weekend.

Today, Environment Canada is predicting a high of 19 C with some sunny skies this morning and cloud cover later in the day.

It’s going to be a breezy one too, with winds gusting from 20 to 40 km/h this afternoon. There’s also a 30 per cent chance of showers this evening.

Tomorrow, the forecast is for more sun and cloud and again with a 30 per cent risk of showers, this time with a thunderstorm in the late afternoon. The high is 21 C.

There are many fun outdoor activities going on this weekend, too, if you don’t mind getting your feet wet.

The Transcona Hi Neighbour Festival runs today and Sunday, as does the Ellice Street Festival.

The Academy Road Street Festival is slated for today only, while the largest community garage sale of the year at Normand Park runs all weekend.
