A 35-year-old woman who police say tried to rob the same gas bar twice in two days has been charged with three counts of robbery.
Police said a woman went to the kiosk of a gas bar in the 700 block of Watt Street Friday at 4 p.m. and demanded cash from the 20-year-old employee. She fled with cash, cigarettes and merchandise.
On Saturday at 7:30 a.m., the suspect returned to the same gas bar and attempted to conceal her identity. The same employee was working and recognized the woman as the robber from the day before, locked the door and called police.
She fled the area. At 7:45 a.m. Saturday police got a call that a woman trying to conceal her identity robbed a gas bar in the 1400 block of Henderson Highway.
She fled in a vehicle located in the area of Grey Street and Talbot Avenue, police said. A woman was taken into custody.
