Another arrest made in Project Falling Star investigation

Police have made another arrest in the Project Falling Star investigation.

The investigation, which started in April 2013 and targeted members of the Manitoba Warriors street gang, has led to criminal code charges being levied on 57 Manitoba Warriors members and associates, as well as the execution of seven search warrants and three firearms warrants.

According to police, members of the gang are known to promote the sale of illegal drugs and are known to commit numerous acts of violence in relation to territorial disputes involving drug distribution networks.

Last month, police asked for the public’s assistance in locating Monica Marie Thomas in relation to the Project Falling Star investigation. The 34-year-old was arrested Sunday in the 500 block of Spence Street.

She is facing various charges and remains in custody.
