Another garage goes up in flames

An overnight fire has damaged another garage in the city.

The fire heavily damaged a garage behind a home in 300 block of Toronto Street.

On Wednesday, a fire about 3:45 a.m. in West Broadway damaged a garage in the 100 block of Furby Street. The police helicopter was called out while officers on the ground also searched the area.

There have been numerous garage fires in the city this year.

The Furby garage fire was one of three overnight blazes on Wednesday -- a fence was set on fire in the 100 block of Sherbrook Street, and a shed went up in flames in the 900 block of McMillan Avenue.
