  • Print

Winnipeg police have arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting two women at their place of work.

The women, aged 36 and 43, were sexually assaulted Friday at 2:30 p.m. at a business in the 1000 block of Main Street, police say.

Police officers responded to the business where they were informed a male suspect armed with a weapon entered the office Friday afternoon. The women were separated into different rooms where each was sexually assaulted.

One victim was able to fend off the suspect who then fled the office. He was apprehended by police at about 7:30 p.m.

Police have charged Winnipeg resident Joshua James Turner, 30, with two counts each of sexual assault with a weapon, forcible confinement and uttering threats.
