Arson suspected in house fire at Thompson

Arson is suspected in house fire on Monday at McGill Place in Thompson estimated to have caused $225,000 damage, RCMP report.

The residence was not occupied at the time of the fire which was reported about 4 p.m. No injuries were reported.

RCMP Thompson Detachment is investigating with the assistance of the RCMP Thompson Forensic Identification Section and the Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner.

Evidence located at the fire scene indicate an arson, RCMP said.
