August bids adieu but warm weather sticks around

Winnipeg is hitting 30 again.

That would be 30 C as a forecast high Friday with nothing but sunny skies all day as we head into the final long weekend of the summer, according to Environment Canada’s forecast.

Some clouds will roll into the city Saturday with a 30 per cent chance of showers and a high of 25 C to kick off the month of September. The mercury is predicted to hit 31 C Sunday with a 40 per cent chance of rain.

Holiday Monday will reach 28 C with a mixture of sun and cloud, but so far there is no rain in the forecast. Happy Labour Day.
