Jerry Samuel Francois is in custody at the Winnipeg Remand Centre accused in the death of Gary Nathan Houle, 23, court records show.
Police say Houle died in hospital after being seriously injured in a fight that broke out in the 300 block of Bannerman around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
Francois was initially charged with aggravated assault, police said. The charge has since been upgraded.
