The province is doling out $2.9 million to more than 200 local recreation and cultural projects.
Housing and Community Development Minister Peter Bjornson announced the annual community places grants this morning at École Viscount Alexander School, which got $15,000 for school field improvements such as walking trails, bridges and landscaping.
Other recipients include the Exchange Community Building for window replacement and energy upgrades, Brandon's Ashley Neufeld softball complex and Morden's Royal Canadian Legion, which got $30,000 to make improvements to the washrooms.
