Bombers bombed but at least sun came up this morning

Sun-worshippers, you can revel in the rays today and gardeners can rejoice Friday as rain is on the way.

A sunny day today will bring a high of 25 C and a UV index of 9 or very high.

The Environment Canada forecast says clouds will roll in on Friday bringing a 30 per cent chance of showers in the evening with a risk of a thunderstorm. It will be windy in the morning with a south wind of 40km/h gusting to 60 km/h but that will diminish to 20 late in the evening. The high will be 22 C.

For the weekend, sun is expected on Saturday with a high of 23 C while showers are in the forecast at this point for Sunday and an expected high of 21 C.

Looking into next week, sunshine is expected early in the week with highs reaching 28 C on Tuesday and Wednesday.
