Budget coverage (and free coffee) at News Café today at 3

Come watch the federal budget and we will spring for the coffee

The Winnipeg Free Press is inviting readers to join us at our News Café this afternoon to watch Finance Minister Jim Flaherty deliver the federal budget live around 3 p.m. Winnipeg time.

We will have the speech on the big screens as we serve up some warm coffee and political talk.

Reporter Geoff Kirbyson will be hosting this event and we would like as many people to join us to share their first impressions on the Tory spending plans for the coming year.

We can’t say whether there will be anything for you in this budget. But at least watching it with us will give you some free coffee at our News Café, in the heart of Winnipeg’s Exchange District, 237 McDermot Ave.
