Bundle up 'cuz it's c-c-c-cold out there
WINNIPEG -- Travel agents across the province are giggling.
Early morning temperatures today were in the mid - 20s and dipped to a low of -25 C with a windchill factor of -32 making a trip to Mexico or another sunny destination seem like a great idea.
The high will be just -18 C and mostly sunny today. Expect more of the same Wednesday with a low of -29 C and a high of just -20 C.
Environment Canada forecasts the deep freeze to continue right through to Monday as an Arctic air mass moves over the region.

This is what's going to bring out the true Manitobans! Amazing what can happen in the days since the end of November huh? Seasoned veterans can adapt in mere hours and those who wore their sneakers this morning and thought they wuz Kool, soon enough realized they should be trading them in for mukluks LOL. Still think your tips of the ears turning bright red when extreme minus temps. are out there, is fun? Perhaps you've just arrived and don't realize.....
.....IT'S FREAKIN' COLD!
Crime will be down for sure and that is good, 30 below in Winnipeg always produces those results and we love it! If your vehicle works at minus 30-40 degrees, it's a war machine :) Need a free boost from a stranger because the tow trucks are backlogged? You'll probably get your wish 'cuz we've all been there.
Forget the huge mountains of snow, we do have the white stuff for Christmas and it doesn't have to be piled to 12 feet to still get the simple benefits. Yeah I know, snowmobiling at minus 35 in the moguls is fun too but oh well, can't win 'em all...
Spring is about 3 months away......ha ha HAH!
Please donate to the charitable organizations, those less privileged will need the warm clothing and footwear you may no longer need.

Don't worry Rudie, this is Winnipeg. We will get more snow. More will come. Just be patient. It is this Arctic Air Mass that is preventing it. Once it moves out of the way, the snow will fall.
