  • Print

Two women are facing charges after a robbery attempt Wednesday evening.

At approximately 6 o’clock, Winnipeg Police Service cadets happened upon a robbery taking place in the area of Edmonton Street and Qu’Appelle Avenue. The suspects fled on foot after seeing the cadets; no property was taken from the female victim.

A short time later, police picked up the suspects – a 27-year-old from Swan Lake and a 34-year-old from Winnipeg – near Balmoral Street and Notre Dame Avenue.

Both were released on a promise to appear.
