Andrew Strempler, one of the pioneers of Internet pharmacy in Canada, has been sentenced to 48 months in prison by a Miami court.
Strempler started the first large Internet pharmacy in Canada, in 2001, out of Minnedosa. He was sentenced after plea bargaining three counts of mail fraud from 2005 and 2006. He pleaded guilty to misrepresenting the country of origin on the labels of prescription drugs sold into the United States.
