Cause of John Taylor fire was electrical

Winnipeg fire investigators have determined it was an electrical fire that forced the evacuation of 700 students and staff at John Taylor Collegiate Tuesday morning.

The fire in a basement storage room caused $150,000 damage, a fire department spokesman said this morning.

The school will remain closed for classes today but is expected to re-open Thursday, the St. James-Assiniboia School Division website says.
