Chance of showers, thunderstorms today

The weekend broke the heat wave and later today, there's a risk of showers and a thunderstorm. The high today is a mild 23 C, the low overnight is 16 C.

Sunday, overcast skies will keep the high to a moderate 21 C. Next week the weather is mixed with sun one day and clouds or rain the next. Lows next week range between 14 C and 16 C.

Monday brings back the sun and with it the mercury is forecast to rise to 26 C. Tuesday we can expect periods of rain and a moderate high of 23 C. Wednesday, the national weather forecast calls for sun again and highs of 27 C.

The heat makes a return Thursday and Friday, when sunny skies are expected to send temperatures back up above 30 C Thursday. Friday, the forecast calls for a muggy 31 C and a chance of a showers.
