Chance of weekend rain but plenty of heat on way

WINNIPEG -- There may be grey skies over Winnipeg and a 30 per cent chance of showers this morning, but the sun is expected to come out this afternoon with a high of 28 C.

Expect Saturday to be even warmer with a high of 30 C. There’s a 30 per cent risk of showers in the afternoon with northwest winds at 30 km/h that should die down by evening.

Sunshine and a high of 27 C are forecast for Sunday with sunny skies through the week and temperatures climbing to a high of 33 C by Thursday.
