A Winnipeg man is facing a dangerous driving charge following an investigation into a accident involving a pedestrian earlier this year.

On April 28 at about 8:45 a.m., emergency personnel were called to the intersection of Grosvenor Avenue and Wilton Street after a teenager was struck by a vehicle. The youth was transported to hospital in critical condition.

The investigation revealed that the teen had been walking down Grosvenor when he was hit crossing Wilton at the intersection. The vehicle failed to stop at the clearly posted stop sign.

Police arrested a 50-year-old man Tuesday. He is facing a dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm charge for his alleged involvement.

He was released on a promise to appear.
