Children in Île des Chênes approached by suspicious man

RCMP in St. Pierre-Jolys are looking for a male suspect following a suspicious incident involving children.

The incident took place on Friday, June 20 when two boys riding their bikes in Île des Chênes were approached by a man in a vehicle. The boys managed to get home safely and told their parents what happened.

Police were notified shortly thereafter.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his 40s, with a medium to heavy build, brown eyes, freckles and grey hair (balding). At the time of the incident, the suspect had a long, grey beard.

The vehicle is described as a newer Chevrolet pickup truck with a silver grill and silver running boards.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact RCMP at (204) 433-7908 or call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
