City man charged after boy shot running from confrontation on Burrows
A man has been charged in the shooting of a 15-year-old boy last month in the North End, police said this morning.
The teen was shot in the lower body on July 17, at about 5:30 a.m., in the 400 block of Burrows Avenue, as he tried to flee a man who had confronted him. The boy was transported to hospital in stable condition.
Jonathan Erin Catcheway, 23, of Winnipeg, was arrested Thursday and charged with several offences, including aggravated assault and firearms-related offences. He has been detained in custody.
