City man dies after canoe flips in Yukon

A Winnipeg man is dead after the canoe he was in flipped over in rough weather in a lake in the Yukon near Whitehorse.
RCMP said Matt MacIntyre, 27, died last week after police searchers found his body in Fish Lake.
RCMP said MacIntyre and a 27-year-old man, also from Winnipeg, were paddling in a rented canoe when the wind and waves came up spilling them into the water.
Both MacIntyre and the man were wearing life jackets, but they became separated in the water.
The other man was able to swim to an island and start a fire. He swam to shore on Friday and called police.
RCMP say hypothermia is a factor this time of year in northern lakes.
