Winnipeg police remain on scene after a man was assaulted in the downtown area early Tuesday morning.
At approximately 1 a.m., police were called to the corner of Cumberland Avenue and Kennedy Street in response to an assault.
According to a police spokeswoman, a man was taken to hospital in unstable condition, and was later upgraded to stable.
No arrests have been made. Police are still investigating the matter.
