City reminds property owners: taxes due Friday
It's that time of year again.
The City of Winnipeg is reminding residents Friday is the deadline to pay their property taxes. Officials said property owners can pay through a tax installment plan, in-person, online or via telephone at their financial institution, by courier, or in-person at city hall.
Property owners can also use a drive-by service on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., if they have their tax bill and a cheque or money order in an envelope ready to present to staff at the corner of James Avenue and King Street.
The city mailed about 213,000 property tax bills in mid-May.
