Cold today, chance of flurries Wednesday

  • Print

Weather-wise, what you see this morning is what you’re going to get for the next couple days.

Environment Canada’s forecast for Winnipeg won’t change much today. Expect cloudy skies and a 40 per cent chance of flurries, with temperatures hovering around the -20 C mark. Look for a low of -25 C tonight.

For Wednesday, the forecast is pretty much the same. Look for mostly cloudy skies with a 40 per cent chance of flurries throughout the day and a daytime high of -20 C.

Things should start to warm up slightly after that, with highs between -13 C and -15 C forecast for Thursday and Friday.

Note: Environment Canada has issued a wind chill warning for the Brandon region this morning. Low temperatures and higher winds are resulting in extreme wind chill values between -40 and -43, so take the necessary precautions if in the area.

The warning is expected to be lifted later today.
