A 60-year-old man died while working at a construction site Wednesday, Altona RCMP say.
RCMP responded to the construction fatality in the RM of Stanley, in the neighbourhood of Hochfeld, around 9:30 a.m. The community is 12 kilometres south of Winkler.
The man, from the RM of Stanley, was working on the construction site when a large steel pipe fell on him, RCMP said. Police aren't releasing the man's name.
Emergency crews arrived and the man was pronounced dead on scene.
Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health was on scene and is assisting with the investigation.
