Convenience store held up

No one was injured in a holdup in a convenience store in the 2300 block of Ness Avenue at 7:30 a.m. Saturday.

A lone man armed with an unidentified weapon demanded and received cigarettes, police said.

The suspect is described as white, 20 to 30 years of age, five-foot-eight inches tall and 150 to 180 pounds.

The investigation is continuing by members of the District Two Crime Unit. Anyone with information regarding this matter or the identity of the suspect(s) is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-2839 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
