Crews respond to fires at two homes
Two fires broke out in Winnipeg homes early this morning.
The first was at 5:20 a.m. in a home in the 500 block of Boyd Avenue. The fire broke out on the front porch of the one and a half storey home. Fire crews put out the flames upon arrival.
Damages are estimated at $25,000, and the fire is considered suspicious in nature. The incident is under investigation.
Another small fire broke out at 5:45 a.m. in the basement laundry room of a home in the 300 block of Thames Avenue. Crews were able to extinguish the blaze. Damages are estimated at $40,000.
