Cyclist struck at Notre Dame and Keewatin

A cyclist has been rushed to hospital after being struck by a truck in the Weston area Monday afternoon.

A battered bicycle and scattered belongings lay in a pool of blood at the corner of Notre Dame Avenue and Keewatin Street, where the accident occurred shortly before 5 p.m.

There is no word yet on the cyclist's condition.

A fire truck was positioned over the bike, but authorities confirmed it was not involved in the crash.

Notre Dame Avenue was reopened to traffic at about 10 p.m.
