Dad allegedly assaulted on Grand Beach after confronting photographer
A man was allegedly assaulted on Tuesday at Grand Beach after he approached a man he believed was taking pictures of his children, RCMP said.
Assault charges are pending against a 20-year-old man from the RM of Alexander, RCMP spokesman Cpl. Miles Hiebert said. RCMP are still investigating what led up to the assault.
Hiebert said they looked at the photos being taken by the 20-year-old and they were not explicit.
"They were simply taking pictures on the beach," he said. "As a public beach in a public place, there’s really no expectation of privacy."
