Dairy Queen hosts annual Miracle Treat Day on Thursday

Dairy Queen is putting on its annual Miracle Treat Day, raising money for sick children in Manitoba.

The money from every Blizzard sold on Thursday in Manitoba will go to help several causes for sick children in the province.

One of those causes is the Children’s Hospital, which is hoping to raise money for an operating microscope that will help surgeons remove tumors.

Members of the media and community will be serving blizzards at Dairy Queen locations throughout Winnipeg. Winnipeg Jets defenceman Mark Stuart will be at 981 Portage from 2-3 p.m.

Those who can’t come in to Dairy Queen locations can make a donation by texting GOODBEAR to 45678. A 20$ donation will be added to their phone bill.
