Several city traffic lights are not working following Sunday morning's deluge in Winnipeg.
They are located at:
At these locations, the lights may be out or flashing.
Motorists are advised to treat these intersections as four-way stops.
The underpass at the Disreali Bridge is also flooded, a Free Press reader reported.
The thunderstorm forced the Goldeyes to delay today's matinee against the visiting Kansas City T-Bones.
At 11:45 a.m., the team announced the planned 1:30 start would be pushed back to 3 p.m.
The Goldeyes, who at 45-40 are still in the hunt for the American Association's wild-card playoff spot, dropped the first pair of games against Kansas City, including Saturday night's 8-6 heartbreaker which saw the Fish lose a two-run lead in the ninth before falling in the extra inning.
A severe thunderstorm warning has ended for Winnipeg.
Sunday morning, a line of severe thunderstorms — from Milner Ridge to Winnipeg to Elm Creek — produced hail, damaging winds and heavy downpours.
Nickel- to quarter-size hail and heavy downpours of 25 mm or more were possible with this line of storms, Environment Canada said.
The weather Network says the first lightning strike was detected in the area just before 9 a.m. By 11 a.m., more than 3,000 lightning strikes had occured.
Strong wind gusts and hail can damage property and cause injuries while severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.
