A 97-year-old woman has been identified as the driver who was killed Wednesday afternoon in a head-on crash on Inkster Boulevard.
The RCMP said a westbound car on Inkster was being driven erratically and collided with an eastbound pickup truck stopped at the traffic light at the intersection of Inkster and Roy Roche Drive.
The force of the collision sent the pickup into another pickup truck stopped behind it.
RCMP said the driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
Occupants of the pickup trucks suffered minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.
The collision remains under investigation. Police are examining whether the victim had suffered a medical emergency prior to the collision.
