Country singer Dwight Yoakam has put his acting career on hiatus long enough for a tour that includes a Tuesday, Sept. 10 stop in Winnipeg.

The Guitars, Cadillacs singer, who has appeared in films such as Sling Blade and Panic Room, will perform at the Burton Cummings Theatre in support of his latest record, 3 Pears.

Tickets go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster. A limited amount of VIP tickets, which cost $150, are available, as well as regular concert tickets, which sell for $54 and $59.
