Early-morning fire causes extensive damage to home

There were no injuries in a fire early today that caused extensive damage to a home in the 200-block of Atlantic Avenue, a fire department spokesman said.

The blaze, just after midnight, in the two-and-a-half storey wood-frame home was well-involved when fire crews arrived. The fire is under investigation by the arson task force.

The damage to the home was estimated at $200,000 to the structure and $100,000 to the contents.
