  • Print

A 68-year-old Edmonton man was airlifted to hospital in Winnipeg after his SUV collided with a semi tractor Wednesday night in the RM of Ste. Anne.

RCMP said the semi-tractor driven by a 41-year-old Winnipeg man was travelling south on Highway 12 when a GMC Envoy heading east on PTH 210 pulled out in front of the semi.

It collided with the driver's side of the vehicle causing extensive damage and injury to its 68-year-old driver. RCMP said this morning he is in critical condition. The driver of the semi, that was not hauling a trailer, was not injured.

RCMP said alcohol is considered a factor in accident and the investigation continues.
