Employee attacked with bear spray during Charleswood hotel robbery

An employee was assaulted with bear spray during a robbery at a Charleswood hotel, police say.

Police arrived at the Park West Inn in the 500 block of Dale Boulevard at around 6:25 a.m. following a report of a robbery. They say a man walked into the front desk area and confronted the employee, 32, pointing a canister of bear spray at him and demanding cash. When the employee didn’t hand over any cash, the man sprayed the employee and fled.

 

No arrests have been made.  Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact police at 204 986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204 786-TIPS (8477).
