Three little words Winnipeggers love to hear in early February: "sunny and mild."

That’s the kind of day it will be today. Look for a high of -3 C today. Wind will be from the west at 20 km/h this morning.

Tonight it will be clear with increasing cloudiness overnight and a low of -9 C.

On Thursday, though, the weather will become blustery, Environment Canada says. Expect a north wind of 40 km/h, gusting to 60 near noon, with the temperature falling to -24 C in the afternoon. The windchill will be -37.

On Friday, it will remain cold with a low of -29 C and a daytime high of -21 C.
