Environment Canada has issued wind chill warnings at 5 a.m., for Lynn Lake, Leaf Rapids, Pukatawagan, and Brochet.
The weather service is reporting extreme wind chills of -45C to -50C this morning. At that temperature exposed skin can freeze in five to 10 minutes.
The temperature itself, without the wind chill, is between -37C to -42C.
