The St. Norbert Farmers’ Cyber-Market is coming soon to a computer screen near you.
South Winnipeg’s popular farmers’ market is getting set to launch an online version of its experience. The website — stnorbertfarmersmarket.ca/online — will allow vendors to showcase their products for purchase starting Sept. 20.
This is how it works: customers can order products listed on the site and then meet with the market vendors to pick up their goods at a predetermined time and place.
Initial pickups take place at the market site, with winter pickups at an indoor site in St. Norbert. The order period will be bi-weekly.
Locally produced meats, honey, preserves, eggs, seasonal vegetables, baked goods, and crafts will be available for purchase via the online market.
