Fifth person charged in home invasion

Steinbach RCMP have charged a fifth person in relation to a home invasion that took place Thursday.

Steinbach RCMP said three people barged their way into a Steinbach home, assaulted a man inside and forced him to walk to an ATM and hand over cash.

 

The incident occurred Thursday about 1:40 a.m.

 

On Friday, RCMP charged another male, bringing the total number of charges to five.

 

Two men and one female youth were arrested and charged for completing the home invasion and robbery, while one man and one female youth were arrested and charged as parties to the offence.

 

Both female youths are 17, RCMP said Sunday.
