Fire causes estimated $100,000 damage to house

A fire broke out this morning at a Buchanan-area home leading to an estimated $100,000 in damages.

At about 10:07 a.m., the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Services was dispatched to 53 Stradford Street where a fire was located on the second floor and extinguished.

Two family members were assessed for smoke inhalation.

Damages of the fire were estimated at $70,000 for the building and $30,000 for its contents.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined. The incident is still under investigation.
